Hi folks
Unfortunately this site will no longer run, this site incurs cost that we are no longer willing to absorb ourselves. As of today, Morgan Williams contract with Rugby Canada has been terminated. I wish the players good luck in the Commonwealth games and in the upcoming I.R.B sevens series.
Thank you

The Canadian Maple Leafs have announced their squad for the Abbotsford International 7's Tournament that will be led by 8 graduates of the Canadian U-20 program. The Canadian Maple Leafs Team are designed to develop the next generation of Sevens players in Canada and are funded in large part through the Canadian Rugby Foundation. (More information regarding the Foundation, its purpose and how to support its work can be found in the link below)
The second annual Abbotsford Sevens Tournament is Canada's largest international Sevens tournament and will feature teams from South Africa, New Zealand, Kenya, Fiji and Canada. The Maple Leafs will be led by National Seven's coach Morgan Williams, alongside Joe Haley and Jeff Williams.
With most of the team being under the age of 21, Williams is looking to 26 year old Brodie Henderson to provide leadership and experience to the younger players. Henderson has played for Canada’s Sevens on numerous occasions with the most recent being in the New Zealand and Vegas tournaments earlier this season.
Ontario’s Taylor Paris is only 17 years old but will provide some experience to this young Maple Leafs Team having traveled to Uruguay with the Maple Leafs last year before being selected to the national 7's team.
Andrew Crow is fresh off Captaining Canada’s Under-20 team in Russia and will be looked upon to use his speed and size for the Maple Leafs.
Another graduate of the U-20 program, Connor Braid, who recently got his first appearance for Canada in the Churchill Cup Final against the England Saxons, will also provide leadership for the Maple Leafs.
Jeff Hassler of Okotoks, Alberta was recently one of three U-20’s who won the Stuart Pegg Award being recognized as the top players voted on by their team mates for their performances at the Junior World Rugby Trophy in Russia.
This is the third Canadian Maple Leaf team that has been sponsored by the Canadian Rugby Foundation, with tours to Uruguay and Fiji earlier this year along with great support in Honk Kong 2010 where the Canadian 7s team won the Bowl Competition.
